This marker was erected in 2019 in the Zbarazh new Jewish cemetery by the Hasidic organizations Agudas Ohalei Tzadikkim and Geder Avos to commemorate three revered men who were buried in the Zbarazh old Jewish cemetery, whose grave sites were lost when the old cemetery was destroyed during World War II and the post-war Soviet era. Velvel Zbarizher (also Velvl Zbarjer, Zbarjur, or Zbarzher) was the stage name of Benjamin Wolf Ehrenkrantz, one of the more renowned Broderzinger or Broder singers, itinerant professional songwriters and performers.
