Conservation:
This stone is one of about two dozen medium-sized fragments plus more smaller fragments unearthed in autumn 2014 in a courtyard and parking area off of vul. Mitskevycha in downtown Rohatyn; the courtyard is known to be behind the WWII occupation German police headquarters at what is today vul. Halytska 64 in Rohatyn. The stones were viewed in place on 06 November 2014 by Mykhailo Vorobets, Rabbi Kolesnik of Ivano-Frankivsk, and RJH. Mr. Vorobets arranged to have the stones moved to the old Jewish cemetery in Rohatyn on 24 November 2014.
