Conservation:
The stone was one of many found at undocumented locations around Rohatyn and recovered under the direction of Mykhailo Vorobets and moved to the new Jewish cemetery in 2012. Mr. Vorobets later arranged to have the stone moved to the old Jewish cemetery in spring 2015.

This stone likely belongs to Jonas Jakób Aufrichtig, reported as died on 21 October 1910 at age 28 in Rohatyn, with his death confirmed by examination one day later (the 22nd) by Dr. Terlecki, and his burial in Rohatyn two days after his death (the 23rd). AGAD record 300/0/3689 volume IV, sheet 166 line 53.
