Stone Condition:
fragmented, but fair to good condition; some weathering and chipping observed since recovery
Conservation:
The stone was one of many found at undocumented locations around Rohatyn and recovered under the direction of Mykhailo Vorobets and moved to the new Jewish cemetery in 2012. Mr. Vorobets later arranged to have the stone moved to the old Jewish cemetery in spring 2015.

The fourth surviving line ("you were strong and showed yourself a man") is a quote from 1 Kings 2:2.
The fifth surviving line ("God-fearing and turning away from evil") is a quote from the Book of Job 1:1.
