Abraham Messing appears in numerous vital records in Rohatyn, including the births and marriages of his children with Jente Rauch, between 1900 and 1927. In 1937, Abraham and Jente appear in the marriage record of their son Juda Hersch (who was born in Rohatyn in 1908) in the town of Kolomyia. However, no birth or death records for Abraham himself are currently available. Juda and his family were listed among the killed during the Holocaust in a Soviet Extraordinary Commission report from 1944 and another, undated report.
