Stone Condition:

The stone is broken with the upper part now missing; the remaining fragment is in good condition, with the last line of the epitaph and part of the line above still legible.

Conservation:

The stone stump was discovered during a cemetery survey of fixed objects in autumn 2019. Soil at the front face of the stone was excavated to permit photographs, then the soil and sod were replaced as before.
