Recovered from a walkway behind the house at vul. Adama Mitskevycha 8 in downtown Dobromyl in March 2016, then installed in a newly-constructed Wall of Memory at the Dobromyl Jewish cemetery in May and June 2016; see the web page About Dobromyl for more information.

[N2] The term 'kosher' implies that she kept an orthodox-Jewish household.
[N3] ובתה פסעה לענים as inscribed, literally 'and her daughter stepped to the poor' – is most peculiar. Why refer to her daughter and not herself, and why would such a cryptic reference be recorded on her gravestone? To show that she brought up her children well, they too caring for the poor? A similar phrase like וכפה פרשה לענים 'and she extended her hand to the poor' or ביתה פתחה לעניים 'her house she opened to the poor' – might have been intended, but require the assumption of multiple errors.
[N5] נפטרה is truncated presumably due to lack of space.
[N8] Perhaps Birkentwahl [w with v sound], or similar.
[N9] Perhaps the town of Polonne/Polonnoye, also known in Yiddish as Polna. Even though quite far from Dobromyl [400km+ to the east], it was a famous Jewish town, a focal point of nascent Hasidism [see S15A for another gravestone that may refer to this town].
