[N3] The term 'kosher' implies that she kept an orthodox-Jewish household.
[N3-4] The phraseמנשים באהל תבורך – 'of women (who dwell) in tents most blessed' [Judges 5:24], is often encountered on female gravestones. These words of praise are totally removed from their biblical context, which refers to the heroine Yael bravely killing the enemy general Sisera by driving a tent peg through his temple as he sleeps.
[N4-5] Proverbs 31:20-31 is an ode to A Woman of Valor. It is sung traditionally at the Friday night dinner table just before Kiddush by the husband, gathered family and guests, in honor of the lady of the house. As such, phrases from it are often quoted on female gravestones – here from verse 20.
[N5] וידיה is slightly shortened to וידי', to avoid inscribing the divine name יה.
[N6] עוברי אורח 'passers-by' ─ charity going hand-in-hand with hospitality.
[N7] עשתה צדקה 'was charitable' seems obvious here. This, however, would largely be repeating the previous lines. The remainder of this line might have provided context but is no longer visible.
