Recovered from a walkway behind the house at vul. Adama Mitskevycha 8 in downtown Dobromyl in March 2016, then installed in a newly-constructed Wall of Memory at the Dobromyl Jewish cemetery in May and June 2016; see the web page About Dobromyl for more information.

[N2-3] The phrase 'full of days' ─ i.e. contented/satisfied.
[N3] הי'ו [intending perhaps to reproduce a Hasidic pronunciation of היה] as well as avoid inscribing היה which would include the divine name יה. When first incorporated into the Wall of Memory, there appears to have been a deliberate attempt to correct to 'הי, as one would expect, by not restoring the black pigment of this letter. But, by the time the second image was taken, the pigment had eluded form this and all the letters of the inscription.
[N4] Translated as 'passers-by', literally 'passing and returning' – i.e. he was noted for his hospitality to strangers.
[N5] Literally 'ran after' God's commandments.
[N5] 'God' is inscribed 'ד rather than 'ה, the standard abbreviation for Hashem השם [The Name]. Appearing only in writing, 'ד represents an even-higher level of 'distancing' than that provided by 'ה, but is nevertheless voiced 'Hashem'.
