[N] Her given name Esther אסתר appears as an acrostic of enlarged first letters of lines 2-5. As is often the case, the acrostic is accompanied by a rhyming feature – here it is almost imperceptible, limited to an –im sound on lines 4&6.
[N2] The term 'kosher' implies that she kept an orthodox-Jewish household.
[N3] Sima, literally 'treasure' or 'precious', is also as a nickname for 'Simcha'.
[N5] Sustenance, literally לחם 'bread'.
[N9] Yehuda is spelled with an א rather than as יהודה, to avoid inscribing the divine Tetragrammaton name, the 4-letter transliteration YHVH, Jehovah.
[N9-10] The phrase 'departed to her world' is a commonly-encountered, euphemistic expression for 'died'.
