Other Notes:
[N] Symbols are the 'priestly hands' motif, supporting a crown, indicating the grave of a Cohen.
[N4] Literally, as one would do with a flower, 'he was plucked in half his days'.
[N5] היה is slightly abbreviated to 'הי to avoid inscribing the divine name יה.
[N5-6] He fought in the Great War [later renamed WWI] and was 'not disgusted' by the king's food ration – פַּת בַּג הַמֶּלֶךְ [Daniel 1:5].
[N6-7] The 3-letter abbreviation at the end of line 6 defies satisfactory elucidation. Several hypotheses come to mind, all speculative. This is compounded by what text lies on both sides of the name Mordechai and the elusive 'son of' required to connect with the father's name on line 8. Furthermore, honorifics for both father and son are doubtless also present.
[N8-9] בשמ'ת is the abbreviation [בשמ[חת] ת[ורה 'on Simchat Torah', which falls on the 23rd Tishrei in the Diaspora.
[N9] From the famous, almost entirely-Jewish, town/shtetl of Brody – situated about 200 km east of Dobromyl.

See About Dobromyl for an index to headstone locations in the Wall of Memory.
Stone is recorded as Grounded because it is fixed in the Wall of Memory.
