Other Notes:
[N] One of the images shows a fragment with the abbreviation ת נ צ ב ה that was incorrectly combined at the base of this gravestone.
[N4-5] שבקה literally 'abandon', 'forsake'. לחייה is slightly abbreviated to 'לחיי. The phrase 'departed to her life, eternal' is a euphemism for 'died'.
[N5-6] Only in a leap year are there two Adar months – an extra intercalated First Adar [Adar I] and the usual Adar, renamed Second Adar [Adar II]. 5691, however, was not a Jewish leap year. Her death occurred on the second day of Rosh Chodesh [New Month, celebrating the 'new moon'] First Adar. This reference to 'First' Adar is therefore superfluous. When a month has two days of Rosh Chodesh, the first is celebrated on the last day of the previous month, the second being the first day of the new month. Thus the equivalent date was 1st Adar 5691.
[N7] Transcribed as Lillien; other spellings are possible.
